CMS unveiled an interim final rule on May 3, 2016, that
could help the Affordable Care Act's struggling co-op plans.
The policies went into effect on May 11, 2016; however, the
CMS will accept comments on the rule through July 5, 2016.

Advancing Care Information. The new program is designed to be
simpler, less burdensome, and more flexible. If finalized, it
will take effect on January 1, 2017 for physician offices. (The
